Straight, Strong,

Inherit the heart and skill.

"Endurance is one of the most difficult disciplines,

but it is to the one who endures that the final victory comes."

Gautama Buddha

Traditional Shotokan Karate

Karate training is not for the faint hearted, it requires perseverance and the willingness to overcome personal battles on a long road that leads closer and closer to mastery.

Like any other sport you get out as much as you put in.
This is the spirit that is taught to every person who steps into the JKA Massey dojo, a new club formed in 2018 by Peter and Yuriko Zimmatore.

The club practises Shotokan karate and is affiliated to the Japan Karate Association (JKA) in Tokyo through JKA Auckland, New Zealand.
